Freedom’s Wings Canada is looking for a set of hand controls for a
Grob 103 Twin II or Twin II Acro. Actually, as our program expands,
we are in need of three sets. With one factory built set, we can
duplicate for the others needed. If you have an unused set, they
could facilitate the expansion of our program, and benefit some very
deserving folks, from wounded Afghan vets to kids from rehab
hospitals.

This program partners with gliding clubs in a strategic alliance,
benefitting from the in-place infrastructure (runways, clubhouse,
tugs) and the volunteer ethic that built them. If all unfolds as we
are hoping, there will be both Inspiration Flights (an Inro ride) and
lessons available at Vancouver Soaring, Calgary’s CuNim, Toronto’s
York Soaring, Gatineau Gliding near Ottawa and Quebec City’s CVVQ.
Additionally, Inspiration Flights will be offered at Silver Star in
the BC interior and Edmonton.

Please help if you can; - it will mean so much to so many…

Charlie,

Can the FWI people here in NJ/PA help? I have been flying with them
lately as they have stationed one of their two gliders at my airport. I
know they have several sets of hand controls. Also a talented machinist
in the group who is making additions and modifications. (I don't fully
understand the certification process, especially in Canada)

You probably have contact information, but let me know.

I do indeed know them; - they inspired and mentored our program in
Canada, and we named it after theirs (with permission) to honor that.

I am hoping to find an unused set. The regulations are a l;ittle
stiffer I think in Canada, but we too have some talented volunteers.
One 'factory' set would give us benefit both on the manufacture and
the approval.
